| A house opposite mine burnt down about five minutes ago, it took about fifteen minutes for the whole process while we watched from our window with a sense of helplessness. Alhamdullilah the occupants are safe. Incidents like these jolt us out of our complacency, and remind us that there is a jannah yes, but there is a jhannum too may Allah swt save us all from it. I wonder if these signs from Allah swt leave a mark on our psyche and chanGe our lives for the better or it’s a just a flash in the pan and we slip back into the quagmire that we are in |

| [slm] I think it happened about 5 years ago in Ramadan ,one on the houses down the street where I lived then caught fire; and to make things worse it was iftar time .Everyone came out to see what was going on and luckily no one was heart but that incident shook us all. I think if ALLAHforbid it happens to one personally , only then does it shake us badly otherwise we talk about it for a while and go back "into the quagmire that we are in." Really makes me think about our priorities in this life. BUSHRA. |
